The Sound of Priceless

During the chase for a World Series win, LA Dodger Adrian Gonzalez dissed Chicago Cubs fans by saying they couldn’t cheer loud enough. In response, Mastercard proved fans’ passion by creating a way to measure the end of their 108 year title drought: a decibel meter made for making history. Fans cheered so loudly they broke the 100 decibels mark and were even heard from a mile away.

The film was shot, edited, approved and posted so soon after the win, advertising pubs were shocked at the immediacy. It also became Mastercard’s most retweeted and most shared Facebook video ever.

We scored three “Best in Show” Golds at the Shorty Awards for Financial Services, Creative Use of Technology and Real Time Response.
