Before New York, I was raised in a zany resort town called Treasure Island. It was a world made of sunburned salty dog locals, neon tank top tourists, blown out flip flops and beer Koozies with wise sayings on them like “I Pee in Pools.” While Reggae and Classic Rock filled my ears, sunbathers’ smuggled Cuban cigars filled my nose. I grew up Skateboarding, Surfing in Hurricanes, competing in Skimboarding tournaments and playing Basketball with sand falling out of my shorts. When I wasn’t getting salted by the Gulf of Mexico, I would write and draw a ton—which led me to the land of advertising.
